Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Weekend Bar Staff to join our dynamic team at The Eagle OTR. This is a part-time, casual role perfect for individuals looking for flexible hours primarily on weekends. You’ll be instrumental in creating a welcoming and efficient bar environment, serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring our guests have an unforgettable experience. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including glassware, bar tops, and equipment.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as necessary to ensure responsible service.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed throughout shifts.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of common cocktails, beers, and wines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Cash handling and POS system experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as bar staff or bartender in a restaurant or pub setting (3+ months).
- Current Ohio Responsible Alcohol Service (TIPS) certification.
- Knowledge of local craft beers and spirits.
- Familiarity with the Over-the-Rhine dining and bar scene.
