Job Description

McDonald’s in Chesapeake, VA is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Fast Food Shift Assistant. This role is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to learn the ropes of fast-paced restaurant operations and are committed to growing into a leadership position. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of our restaurant, from customer service and food preparation to team supervision and operational efficiency, all while working closely with our experienced management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shift Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service are consistently met.
  • Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage cash handling and reconciliation procedures accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and operational goals.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential or experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
