Job Description

Join G’s Fresh for an exciting and fully sponsored seasonal farm placement in Colchester, Essex. This unique opportunity provides international candidates with a chance to experience the heart of British agriculture, with all visa and placement fees covered. You will play a vital role in the cultivation and harvesting of various fresh produce, contributing to the UK’s food supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various manual tasks related to crop cultivation, planting, weeding, and harvesting.
  • Operate basic farm machinery under supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Assist with irrigation systems and crop protection measures.
  • Sort, grade, and package produce according to quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in designated work areas and farm facilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily targets.
  • Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality control procedures.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, 'can-do' attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and farming techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Good communication skills in English (basic conversational level at a minimum).
  • Commitment to punctuality and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or outdoor manual work is a plus.
  • Valid driving license (though not essential for all roles, it can be advantageous).
