Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cosmetic Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of inventory control within our Overland Park warehouse facility. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing waste, and supporting efficient distribution of our wide range of beauty products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and a passion for precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and plan replenishment orders for cosmetic products.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and optimize inventory control procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee incoming shipments, product receiving, and proper storage within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure product availability.
- Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete inventory to prevent losses.
- Analyze inventory data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all inventory handling.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on best practices for inventory management.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as required in a warehouse environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience with cosmetic or retail product inventory.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
