Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and quantitatively focused AI Algorithm Performance Analyst to join our innovative team. This 100% remote role involves critically evaluating the performance of our proprietary AI and machine learning algorithms, focusing on their accuracy, efficiency, and robustness within financial market applications. You will be instrumental in identifying areas for improvement, validating model integrity, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers to enhance our algorithmic capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and a deep understanding of AI/ML principles, particularly as applied in a high-stakes financial environment. Your work will directly influence the strategic direction and operational excellence of our AI-driven products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust metrics and dashboards to monitor AI algorithm performance in real-time.
  • Conduct in-depth statistical analysis and backtesting to evaluate algorithm accuracy, bias, and stability.
  • Identify performance anomalies, root causes, and provide actionable insights to data science teams.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers and researchers to refine, optimize, and validate new and existing models.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental setups to assess algorithm changes.
  • Document performance findings, methodology, and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging AI/ML techniques, and regulatory requirements related to algorithmic fairness and transparency.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., neural networks, SVMs, decision trees) and their underlying mathematics.
  • Expertise in statistical hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time-series analysis.
  • Experience with large datasets and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, Spark).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
  • Experience with financial markets, trading algorithms, or quantitative finance.
  • Familiarity with model risk management principles.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and concisely.
