Job Description

Breaker Brewing Company is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our production team as an Entry Level Cellar Person. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to learn the craft brewing process from the ground up. The role is physically demanding, involving significant wet work and heavy lifting in a fast-paced brewery environment. You will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our cellars, ensuring our beers meet the highest standards of quality. This is an On-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing fermentation vessels, bright tanks, and other brewery equipment.
  • Assisting with transfers of beer between tanks.
  • Performing daily cleaning tasks throughout the brewery, including floors and drains.
  • Handling and moving raw materials, kegs, and other heavy items (up to 75 lbs regularly).
  • Following strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety and sanitation.
  • Assisting brewers with various tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Comfortable working in wet, cold, and sometimes loud environments.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety.
  • Reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, or warehouse environment.
  • Passion for craft beer and a desire to learn about the brewing process.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience with basic hand tools.
  • Forklift certification (not required, but a plus).
