Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Maid / Domestic Maid to join our team for part-time work in the Gosforth area of Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves providing comprehensive cleaning and tidying services to private residences, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and hygienic living environment for our clients. You will be an essential part of helping our clients maintain their homes to a high standard. Flexibility and attention to detail are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs.
- Clean and sanitize kitchens, including countertops, sinks, and appliance exteriors.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to disposal areas.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing (as per client request).
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs.
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients and management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in domestic cleaning or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for a cleaning agency.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
