Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distance Learning Coordinator to join our dedicated team, working remotely to support public education initiatives. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful development, implementation, and evaluation of virtual learning programs and resources for various public school districts. The Distance Learning Coordinator will collaborate with educators, administrators, and technology specialists to enhance the quality and accessibility of online education, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ learning experiences from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive distance learning strategies and programs for public education clients.
- Collaborate with public school districts to identify needs, design curriculum, and integrate technology solutions for virtual instruction.
- Provide training and ongoing support to teachers and staff on distance learning platforms, tools, and pedagogical best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of online learning programs through data analysis, feedback collection, and performance metrics.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, educational trends, and regulatory changes in distance learning and public education.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and communication to ensure successful program delivery and client satisfaction.
- Facilitate strong partnerships between Pearson Education and public education stakeholders to promote innovation in virtual learning.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in distance learning, educational technology, or instructional design within public education.
- Proven experience with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
- Strong understanding of K-12 public education standards, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to assess program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
- Certification in Instructional Design or Distance Learning.
- Experience with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) in online learning content.
