Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our beauty manufacturing team in Pasadena, CA. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our diverse range of beauty products, from raw materials to finished goods. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will uphold our reputation for delivering superior products to our global customer base. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to address any deviations from our stringent quality standards. This is an on-site position vital to our operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough visual and functional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished beauty products.
- Verify product specifications against established quality standards, blueprints, and sample approvals.
- Perform various tests and measurements using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and deviations according to company procedures.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of quality data.
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant industry regulations.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a scientific or technical field.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO quality standards.
- Experience with spectrophotometers or other specialized beauty product testing equipment.
- Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
