Job Description
We are seeking skilled and motivated Multi-State Truck Drivers to join our expanding team. This role offers the flexibility you need to balance your professional and personal life, including flexible home time options and comprehensive vacation pay. As a Multi-State Truck Driver with Werner Enterprises, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across various states, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently across multiple states.
- Transport goods according to delivery schedules and routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and submit all required documentation.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo.
- Represent Werner Enterprises professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience
- Experience with diverse freight types
- Familiarity with various routes across the Midwest and other regions
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability
