Job Description

Join the dedicated team at Hyatt Hotels as a Room Service Order Taker, specializing in night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service, with full training provided – no prior experience required! You will be the friendly voice ensuring our guests’ culinary desires are met with precision and warmth during the evening and overnight hours. Your attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service will play a crucial role in creating memorable stays for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, taking room service orders accurately.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, daily specials, and beverage options.
  • Upsell and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
  • Accurately input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Process payments and handle cash/credit card transactions with integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and room service attendants to ensure timely and correct delivery.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any service-related issues with empathy and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all hotel and brand standards of service and hygiene.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliability and ability to consistently work night shifts (typically 11 PM – 7 AM).
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with hotel POS systems.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) are an asset.
