Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Distribution Center Hands to join our fast-paced operations in Liverpool. This role is crucial to ensuring our customers receive their orders quickly and accurately. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the distribution center, including receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping items. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments and verify contents against invoices or other records.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.
- Pick orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves, or transport them to the packing station.
- Pack and label items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging standards.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to meet operational demands.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 23kg) repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
