Job Description

Banner Health is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for a Part-time In-Home Respite – Weekend Flexible Roster, Care position in Mesa, Arizona. In this vital role, you will provide temporary relief to primary caregivers of individuals with special needs or disabilities, offering essential support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities. This flexible weekend schedule allows you to balance your personal commitments while contributing meaningfully to your community. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and companionship to individuals in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, such as personal care, dressing, and feeding.
- Engage individuals in recreational and social activities appropriate to their abilities and interests.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the individual.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and instructions (if qualified and authorized).
- Communicate effectively with primary caregivers regarding the individual's well-being and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and observations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of personal care and safety protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, childcare, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
