Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Back of House Porter to join our dedicated team in Colchester. This essential role involves supporting the efficient operation of our store by managing inventory, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with various back-of-house tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming deliveries, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of goods.
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory, including rotation and replenishment.
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all back-of-house areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Support front-of-house operations as needed, including moving displays or stock.
- Report any discrepancies or maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding stock control and hygiene.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for inventory management.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.

- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
