Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented college student seeking a flexible, part-time remote opportunity? Appen is looking for WFH Image Taggers to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately categorizing and tagging images to help train and improve artificial intelligence systems. This position offers convenient 4-hour shifts, making it an ideal fit for individuals balancing studies or other commitments. No prior experience is required, just a keen eye for detail and a reliable internet connection. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately categorize and tag various types of images according to project guidelines.
- Apply specific labels, bounding boxes, or polygons to objects within images.
- Maintain high levels of data accuracy and consistency.
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding any issues or ambiguities.
- Participate in training sessions to understand new project requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in images.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with online tools and interfaces.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote environment.
- Fluency in English (reading and understanding guidelines).
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Previous experience with image annotation, data entry, or similar tasks (not required but a plus).
- Familiarity with various image formats and editing tools.
- Proactive and eager to learn new software and processes.
