Job Description
Join Walmart’s dedicated team as a Cherry Picker Operator, specializing in high-reach operations. This role involves safely and efficiently operating cherry picker equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials in our bustling distribution center. We are seeking detail-oriented individuals with a strong commitment to safety and productivity. This position offers premium pay for high-work expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker equipment safely and efficiently to move products and materials at elevated heights.
- Load, unload, stack, and retrieve products from various storage locations within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and accurate placement of goods.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to meet daily operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating cherry picker or other high-reach lift equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work at heights comfortably and safely.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification (OSHA certified).
- Previous experience in a large-scale distribution or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
