Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny for a private, one-on-one childcare position in a local Anaheim suburb. This role involves providing comprehensive care for children, focusing on their developmental needs, safety, and well-being within a family’s home environment. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, responsible, proactive, and have a genuine passion for working with children. Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and engaging one-on-one childcare for children as directed by the family.
- Plan and execute age-appropriate educational activities, games, and creative play.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Assist with homework, school projects, and educational development.
- Manage children's schedules, including school pick-ups/drop-offs and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Implement consistent routines and positive discipline strategies.
- Assist with light household duties related to childcare, such as tidying play areas and children's laundry.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional childcare experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Strong understanding of child development and safety.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience with children with special needs or specific developmental stages.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Non-smoker.
