Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team in Pearland, Texas. This local tanker role is critical for ensuring the timely and safe transport of various fuel products to our customers. As a Fuel Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for operating commercial motor vehicles, loading and unloading fuel, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and adhering to all federal, state, and company safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tanker trucks to deliver fuel products to various customer locations within the local Pearland area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Load and unload fuel products according to safety protocols and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, HAZMAT procedures, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Participate in all mandatory safety training and meetings.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) endorsements.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures for transporting hazardous materials.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with fuel delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in fuel delivery or petroleum transportation.
- Familiarity with local Pearland and Greater Houston area roadways.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing schedules or conditions.
