Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly trustworthy Nanny to provide exceptional care for children in a private family residence in Ogden, UT. This role requires a compassionate individual who is proactive, reliable, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for children’s development. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a high trust environment and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children, including daily routines, educational activities, and imaginative play.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, both inside and outside the home.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, and emotional development.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with light household duties related to the children, such as tidying play areas, children's laundry, and organizing toys.
- Manage children's schedules, including school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children's belongings and play areas.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and maintain up-to-date certifications.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience with verifiable references.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Discretion, professionalism, and respect for family privacy.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with multiple children of varying ages simultaneously.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Knowledge of child development milestones and educational play strategies.
- Experience with domestic and international travel accompanying families.
