Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Restaurant Aide to join our team, specifically tailored for individuals who are stay-at-home parents looking to re-enter the workforce or supplement their income with flexible hours. This role involves assisting with various restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and a pleasant dining experience for our guests. No prior restaurant experience is required; we value reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas, including tables, chairs, and place settings.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other restaurant surfaces regularly.
- Restock condiments, silverware, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Support servers by delivering water, bread, or clearing plates from tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area and back-of-house.
- Help with laundry duties for linens and uniforms.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage recycling.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties to support the restaurant operations as directed.
Required Skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with restaurant operations.
- Food Handler's Permit (can be obtained after hiring).
