Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mobile IV Therapy Dispatcher to join our fast-paced administrative team. This critical role involves coordinating the efficient deployment of our mobile IV therapy units, ensuring timely service delivery to patients across the McAllen area. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You will be the central point of contact for patients, nurses, and medical staff, playing a vital role in our commitment to accessible and responsive healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming service requests via phone, email, and digital platforms, accurately gathering patient information and service needs.
- Efficiently dispatch mobile IV therapy nurses to patient locations, optimizing routes and schedules to ensure prompt arrival and service.
- Communicate real-time updates and changes to nurses and patients, ensuring all parties are informed of dispatch status.
- Maintain detailed records of all dispatch activities, patient interactions, and service outcomes in the electronic system.
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, logistical challenges, and urgent situations with professionalism and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with medical staff to ensure proper protocols are followed and patient care is prioritized.
- Monitor nurse availability, equipment status, and inventory levels to support seamless operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, acting as a friendly and informative first point of contact for patients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced dispatch, coordination, or administrative role, preferably in healthcare.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, dispatch software, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with medical scheduling or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
