Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Municipal Fines & Fees Collector. Key Responsibilities

  • Process and collect payments for municipal fines, fees, and other charges, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and personal information.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and prepare deposits.
  • Respond to inquiries from the public, law enforcement, and other city departments regarding accounts and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of delinquent accounts for further collection actions.
  • Utilize financial software and databases to record transactions and update account information.
  • Adhere to all applicable city, state, and federal laws and regulations governing financial collections.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
