Job Description

Join St. Luke’s Health System as a Mobile Clinic Driver, playing a vital role in expanding healthcare access across Idaho Falls and surrounding communities. This unique Hybrid role combines essential on-site driving responsibilities with opportunities for remote administrative tasks, offering a dynamic work environment focused on community well-being. As a Mobile Clinic Driver, you will be the backbone of our outreach efforts, ensuring the safe and timely transport of our mobile health unit, medical staff, and essential supplies to various locations. You will be instrumental in setting up and tearing down the clinic, maintaining vehicle readiness, and providing a welcoming presence to patients. When not on the road, you’ll contribute from a remote setting, assisting with scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination, truly embodying our commitment to flexible and impactful service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain the mobile clinic vehicle, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Transport medical staff, equipment, and supplies to designated community sites.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of the mobile clinic, including positioning equipment and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs, maintenance records, and fuel consumption reports.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and a friendly, supportive presence to patients and community members.
  • Perform light administrative duties remotely, such as scheduling, data entry, and communication, when not driving.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of the mobile clinic vehicle and onboard equipment.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Required Skills

  • Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
  • Proven ability to operate larger vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including lifting and moving medical equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a professional driver, especially in healthcare or public service.
  • Experience working in a community outreach or patient-facing role.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Familiarity with Idaho Falls and surrounding regional geography.
