Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Fruit Pickers for the upcoming harvest season in Aberdeen. This is a temporary, on-site position ideal for those looking for immediate work, with no background check required. You will be responsible for carefully picking and handling a variety of soft fruits, ensuring they meet our high quality standards. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe soft fruits (e.g., strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) by hand, following specific guidelines.
- Inspect fruits for quality, ripeness, and damage, placing only suitable produce into trays or punnets.
- Maintain a steady pace to meet daily picking targets.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations on the farm.
- Work effectively as part of a team under the supervision of a team leader.
- Ensure minimal damage to plants and fruits during the picking process.
- Assist with other general farm duties as required, particularly during peak season.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
