Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Slickline Specialist to join our dynamic team in Lubbock, Texas. This is a critical field-based role responsible for the safe and efficient execution of slickline operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be proficient in all aspects of slickline services, including well intervention, data acquisition, and equipment maintenance, contributing significantly to our operational success in a high-demand environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute slickline operations in accordance with company policies, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Operate and maintain slickline units, tools, and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform wellbore interventions, including setting and pulling plugs, gas lift valves, and other downhole devices.
- Conduct well integrity checks, surveys, and data acquisition using specialized slickline tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively in the field.
- Prepare and submit accurate job reports, including daily activity logs, equipment usage, and incident reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with field supervisors, engineers, and clients to optimize job execution and service delivery.
- Participate in pre-job planning and risk assessments to ensure safe and successful operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Slickline Operator or Specialist.
- In-depth knowledge of slickline tools, equipment, and downhole operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent understanding of well site safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., Petroleum Technology, Mechanical Engineering).
- Experience with various slickline software and data acquisition systems.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- H2S Alive certification.
