Key Responsibilities
- Operate new 2024 model commercial motor vehicles in a team driving environment, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Safely transport freight across designated long-haul routes, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team partner, and operations personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws, prioritizing safe driving practices.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Represent FedEx Express professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations
- Ability to work effectively in a team driving environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Proficiency with ELD systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with long-haul team driving operations
- HazMat (H) endorsement
- Tanker (N) endorsement
