Job Description

Join AECOM as an Entry Level Project Engineer focusing on Mechanical Infrastructure projects. This exciting opportunity is for a driven individual ready to kickstart their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will contribute to the design, planning, and execution of various mechanical systems within large-scale infrastructure projects. This role involves learning from experienced engineers, participating in site visits, and assisting with project documentation and coordination. We are looking for a recent graduate with a passion for mechanical engineering and a strong desire to learn and grow within a global leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with the design and analysis of mechanical systems for infrastructure projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Participate in site investigations, data collection, and field inspections under supervision.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project integration and successful delivery.
  • Review project drawings, schedules, and budgets, assisting with minor adjustments as needed.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and innovation in mechanical infrastructure challenges.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in an engineering consulting firm or construction environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Knowledge of building codes and mechanical system standards.
  • FE/EIT certification (or in pursuit).
