Job Description

Are you energetic, reliable, and looking for an active role in a fast-paced environment? Evri is looking for a dedicated Delivery Rider Offsider to join our dynamic team in Digbeth, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive on physical activity and teamwork, even without a driving license. As an Offsider, you will be an essential part of our delivery team, assisting our lead riders and drivers in ensuring parcels reach their destinations swiftly and safely. Your fitness will be your biggest asset as you help us keep Birmingham moving!

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively assist the lead rider/driver with loading and unloading parcels from the delivery vehicle.
  • Efficiently navigate routes, assisting with directions and optimal sequencing for deliveries.
  • Safely deliver parcels to customers' doorsteps, ensuring secure handovers.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Assist in the maintenance of vehicle cleanliness and organisation of parcels.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and delivery procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the lead rider/driver to meet daily delivery targets.

Required Skills

  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina, comfortable with frequent lifting, carrying, and walking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • A proactive and positive team player attitude.
  • Good sense of direction and basic navigation ability.
  • No driving license is required for this specific role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a physically demanding role or as a delivery assistant.
  • Familiarity with the Digbeth and wider Birmingham metropolitan area.
  • Experience in a customer service-oriented position.
