Job Description

Join Gentiva Home Health as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in Temecula, CA, and make a significant impact on our clients’ lives! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for immediate hire, offering a generous sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. In this vital role, you will provide essential personal care, companionship, and support, helping clients maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life. This is an on-site position, involving travel to clients’ homes within the Temecula area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by care plans.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and feeding.
  • Perform routine vital sign monitoring and report changes to the nursing staff.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
  • Assist clients with safe transfers and ambulation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
  • Document observations and care provided accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in California.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
