Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Heavy Duty Shed Racking Tasker to join our team in Warrington. This role is crucial for maintaining organized and accessible inventory within our storage facilities, specifically focusing on the assembly, installation, and maintenance of heavy-duty shed racking systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient with various tools and able to perform demanding physical tasks safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install heavy-duty shed racking systems according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Inspect existing racking for damage or instability and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Organise and reconfigure racking layouts to optimize space and accessibility for inventory.
- Handle and move heavy materials and components safely using appropriate equipment or techniques.
- Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Utilise a variety of hand and power tools effectively and safely for all tasks.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to meet operational needs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools for assembly and installation.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Understanding of basic health and safety procedures in a warehouse or construction environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with racking systems or large-scale assembly projects.
- Forklift certification (desirable but not essential).
- Basic carpentry or metalwork skills.
