Job Description

Join the dedicated team at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Mississauga as a Spa Water Quality Tech. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in facility maintenance with a focus on specialized spa operations. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to maintain the highest standards of water quality and safety in our luxurious spa facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a pristine and safe environment for our guests, performing regular water testing, equipment checks, and light maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily testing of spa water parameters (e.g., pH, chlorine, alkalinity) using provided equipment.
  • Record and document all test results accurately and promptly.
  • Learn and apply corrective actions based on water test results, under supervision.
  • Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of spa filtration systems, pumps, and other related equipment.
  • Monitor chemical levels and assist in the safe handling and storage of spa treatment chemicals.
  • Ensure all spa areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or significant water quality deviations to senior maintenance staff.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate actively in all provided training sessions and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and performing physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a hospitality or maintenance setting (even if unrelated to water quality).
  • Basic understanding of chemistry principles.
  • Certification in pool/spa operation (e.g., CPO) is a plus, but not required – training will be provided.
