Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Music Technology Tutor with a strong focus on Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and various music production software. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to guide and mentor students from anywhere. You will be responsible for creating engaging course content, providing personalized feedback, and fostering a supportive learning environment for aspiring music producers, sound engineers, and musicians. Ideal candidates will have deep expertise in popular DAWs like Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, FL Studio, or Pro Tools, alongside proficiency in plugins, virtual instruments, mixing, and mastering techniques. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive remote tutoring sessions covering DAW operation, music production software, synthesis, sampling, mixing, and mastering.
- Create engaging and structured learning materials, including tutorials, exercises, and project-based assignments.
- Provide constructive, individualized feedback on student projects and progress.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, new software releases, and best practices in music technology.
- Offer support and guidance to students, addressing their questions and challenges in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with the content development team to enhance existing course offerings and identify new learning opportunities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive online learning community.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in at least two major Digital Audio Workstations (e.g., Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, FL Studio, Pro Tools).
- Strong understanding of music theory, audio engineering principles, and sound design.
- Experience with various music production software, plugins (VST/AU), and virtual instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students effectively in a remote setting.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple student engagements simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Music Production, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience as an online tutor, instructor, or mentor.
- Certification in a specific DAW or music technology software.
- Portfolio showcasing personal music production work or sound design projects.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and virtual collaboration tools.
