Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Think Tank Associate to join our advanced research and development team in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact strategic projects, conduct in-depth research, and provide critical analysis on complex challenges facing our national security and technological landscape. This role involves working collaboratively with subject matter experts, government partners, and academic institutions to develop innovative concepts and actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on emerging technologies, geopolitical trends, and defense strategies.
- Develop and present analytical reports, briefings, and white papers to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.
- Support the formulation of strategic recommendations and long-term research agendas.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to gather diverse perspectives and inform analysis.
- Contribute to the drafting of proposals and funding applications for research initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of relevant industry developments, policy changes, and scientific advancements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related analytical field.
- 4+ years of experience in research, analysis, or strategic planning within a defense, government, or think tank environment.
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with advanced data analysis tools or methodologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of national security issues, defense policy, or aerospace technologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Prior experience working with government clients or in a classified environment.
