Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Student Content Editor to join our content team. This part-time role is ideal for a university student passionate about writing, digital storytelling, and social media. You will contribute to various content initiatives, assisting with editing, drafting copy, and managing social media engagement to help us connect with our audience in meaningful ways. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced media environment. This is a Hybrid position, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading content for various platforms, including web articles, blog posts, and marketing materials.
- Support the social media team by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and drafting compelling social media copy across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Conduct research on industry trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
- Collaborate with designers and marketing specialists to ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and campaigns.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of English grammar and style.
- Demonstrated interest and experience with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with content management systems (CMS) or social media management tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) for basic image creation.
- Portfolio showcasing writing samples or social media content.
