Job Description
Are you passionate about the accuracy and relevance of online search results? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for critical analysis? Join TELUS International as a Microsoft Search Quality Analyst, where you will play a crucial role in evaluating and improving the quality of leading search engines like Google and Bing. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from your home office while contributing to the global digital experience. You will be responsible for analyzing search queries and web pages, providing detailed feedback to enhance search algorithms, and ensuring that users receive the most accurate and useful information possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate search engine results pages (SERPs) based on comprehensive guidelines and predefined metrics.
- Provide clear, concise, and objective feedback to identify relevance, accuracy, and quality issues.
- Identify patterns, inconsistencies, and emerging trends in search results.
- Categorize and annotate data to train and improve search algorithms.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and quality standards in all evaluation tasks.
- Adhere strictly to project guidelines, confidentiality agreements, and data security protocols.
Required Skills
- Native-level proficiency in English (US English).
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent comprehension of instructions and ability to apply complex guidelines consistently.
- Deep understanding of current events, pop culture, media, and geographical nuances in the US.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer with up-to-date operating system.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in search quality evaluation, content moderation, or data annotation.
