Job Description

Join UPS as a Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on compliance, working 100% remotely. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and evaluating legal inquiries, ensuring all processes and responses adhere strictly to internal compliance policies and external regulatory requirements. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of legal and ethical conduct. You will be a key player in safeguarding UPS’s reputation and operational integrity by ensuring that all legal communications are handled accurately, efficiently, and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate incoming legal inquiries, subpoenas, and requests for information to determine scope and required action.
  • Ensure all responses to legal inquiries are accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel, compliance teams, and other departments to gather necessary information and ensure a unified response.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant legal/regulatory compliance standards.
  • Document and track all inquiries and responses using internal systems, ensuring proper record-keeping.
  • Identify potential compliance risks or process inefficiencies and contribute to developing solutions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with legal and compliance best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a compliance, legal support, administrative, or analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of compliance principles and legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Familiarity with legal document management systems.
  • Experience working in a remote team setting.
