Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Coffee Bean Sorter to join our team in Southall, Ealing. This is a crucial sit-down role focused on maintaining the high quality of our coffee beans. You will be responsible for visually inspecting and sorting green coffee beans, identifying and removing defective beans, foreign material, and ensuring only the finest beans proceed to the roasting process. This position operates on a day shift schedule, offering a stable and focused work environment. No prior experience is required; we value attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of green coffee beans on a conveyor belt or sorting table.
- Manually remove defective beans (e.g., black beans, sour beans, broken beans) and foreign objects.
- Maintain a consistent pace while ensuring thoroughness in sorting.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality control standards.
- Record data related to sorted batches and defect rates.
- Keep the sorting area clean and organized.
- Communicate any significant quality issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
