Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Financial Wellness Coach with a strong focus on Debt Management to join our remote team. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on individuals’ financial lives from anywhere in the US. In this role, you will provide personalized guidance and support to clients, helping them navigate debt challenges, develop effective debt reduction strategies, and build sustainable financial habits. You will conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions, create tailored financial plans, and empower clients to achieve financial freedom.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to assess their financial situation, with a specific emphasis on debt analysis.
- Develop personalized debt management plans, including strategies for debt consolidation, repayment acceleration, and negotiation.
- Educate clients on budgeting, credit management, savings, and other financial literacy topics relevant to debt reduction.
- Provide ongoing support and accountability to clients, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed about current financial trends, debt management tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refer clients to specialized services when appropriate.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial coaching, counseling, or a related financial advisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in debt management strategies, including credit repair, debt consolidation, and budgeting for debt reduction.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex financial situations.
- Proficiency with financial planning software and virtual communication tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of clients effectively in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), or similar relevant certification.
- Experience with financial literacy program development or delivery.
- Familiarity with various debt relief options and their implications.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is a plus.
