Job Description
Are you passionate about all things teen hobbies? Do you have a knack for writing fun, relatable, and inspiring content that resonates with 13-year-olds? AwesomenessTV is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Online Hobby Blogger to join our team. This is a 100% remote, part-time position where you’ll have the exciting opportunity to research, write, and share engaging blog posts about diverse hobbies and interests that appeal specifically to our young teen audience. If you love to write and stay on top of the latest trends, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify trending hobbies, activities, and interests relevant to 13-year-old teens.
- Write 2-3 original, engaging, and age-appropriate blog posts per week (approximately 500-800 words each).
- Incorporate basic SEO best practices to maximize content visibility and reach.
- Collaborate with the editorial team on content strategy, topic generation, and scheduling.
- Ensure all content aligns with AwesomenessTV's brand voice, quality standards, and safety guidelines for youth audiences.
- Proofread and edit posts for grammar, spelling, clarity, and factual accuracy before submission.
Required Skills
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a clear, engaging tone.
- Strong understanding of current teen trends, interests, and online culture.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, relatable, and inspiring manner for a young audience.
- Familiarity with online content creation, blogging platforms, and digital media.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to consistently meet deadlines independently.
- Proficiency in English (US English) grammar and spelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience writing for a youth audience (e.g., school newspaper, personal blog, online forums, fan fiction sites).
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles and content marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms popular among teens (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
- A portfolio or samples of relevant written work showcasing your writing style and ability to connect with a teen audience.
