Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Audio Lead to join our remote corporate office team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of audio systems for corporate events, unified communications platforms, and internal broadcasting. You will be responsible for defining best practices, evaluating new technologies, and providing expert guidance to ensure world-class audio quality across various Microsoft initiatives. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to collaborate with teams globally from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of high-quality audio solutions for corporate events, meeting spaces, and broadcast initiatives.
  • Develop and enforce audio standards and best practices across various projects and teams.
  • Evaluate new audio technologies, software, and hardware, recommending strategic investments and integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior audio specialists and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with AV engineers, IT, and event production teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of audio systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex audio issues and develop proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement for audio equipment and services.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes in professional audio.
  • Document audio system designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in professional audio engineering or AV system design.
  • Proven expertise with digital audio workstations (DAWs), mixing consoles, and audio processing software.
  • Strong understanding of acoustical principles, signal flow, and networked audio protocols (e.g., Dante, AVB).
  • Experience with corporate AV systems and unified communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex audio issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for AV system design documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, or Dante Level 3.
  • Experience with live sound reinforcement and event production.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing and broadcast technologies.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members.
