Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Clinic Nurse to join our team at our Pearland industrial facility. This stable position is vital to ensuring the health and safety of our employees within a dynamic factory environment. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive occupational health services, including injury assessment, emergency response, health surveillance, and wellness promotion, contributing to a healthy and productive workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate medical attention for occupational injuries and illnesses, including first aid and emergency response.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, develop care plans, and facilitate appropriate medical referrals.
  • Administer health surveillance programs, including audiometric testing, spirometry, and vision screening.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with EHS team, HR, and management on incident investigation and return-to-work programs.
  • Participate in health education and wellness promotion initiatives for employees.
  • Manage medical supply inventory and clinic equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in occupational health, emergency medicine, or industrial clinic setting.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Proficiency in injury assessment, treatment, and case management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S) certification.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation claims and OSHA recordkeeping.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
