Job Description
Join St. George Party Rentals as a Marquee / Tent Erection Laborer and become an essential part of creating unforgettable events across Southern Utah. This demanding role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety, working predominantly outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup and dismantling of large event tents and marquees, ensuring all structures are stable and meet our high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, transport, and install various sizes of tents and related equipment at diverse event locations.
- Work collaboratively with a team to erect and dismantle tent structures, following strict safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to secure tent components, including stakes, ropes, and structural elements.
- Inspect equipment for damage or wear, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site and at the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and local building codes.
- Provide exceptional service, ensuring client satisfaction through professional and efficient execution.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, or event setup.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required).
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with tent or marquee structures.
