Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Fruit Pickers to join our team for the upcoming harvest season. This physically demanding yet rewarding role is crucial to our success, ensuring our fruits are harvested with care and precision. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, contributing directly to the quality of our produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carefully pick a variety of fruits (e.g., apples, berries) according to ripeness and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain picking equipment, baskets, and ladders safely.
  • Sort and pack fruits directly in the field or at a designated station.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Work efficiently and productively, individually and as part of a team.
  • Assist with general orchard maintenance tasks as needed, such as pruning or weeding.
  • Report any fruit damage or disease issues to supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, heat).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of fruit handling and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in fruit picking or agricultural work.
  • Familiarity with various fruit types and harvesting techniques.
  • Ability to communicate in French (an asset).
  • Access to reliable transportation.
