Job Description

Altus Traffic is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Traffic Controllers in Parramatta, NSW. Key Responsibilities
- Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around work zones and event sites.
- Implement and maintain traffic control plans in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Set up, manage, and remove signs, barriers, cones, and other traffic control devices.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members, site supervisors, and the public.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust controls as necessary to ensure efficient and safe passage.
- Operate and maintain relevant equipment safely.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies swiftly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of awareness and commitment to safety protocols.
- Must hold a valid C Class Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Basic physical fitness for standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a labouring, construction, or outdoor role.
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Current Traffic Controller (Blue Card) and Implement Traffic Control Plans (Yellow Card) (will be provided through paid training if not held).
- First Aid Certificate.
