Job Description
Join Hyundai Mobis America as a Senior QC Analyst in Montgomery, AL, where you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our automotive components. This role involves overseeing complex quality control processes, conducting in-depth analysis, and implementing corrective actions to ensure all products meet stringent industry and company standards. You will leverage your expertise to identify potential quality risks, develop robust testing protocols, and mentor junior team members, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced quality control inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and root causes of defects, initiating corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain QC testing procedures and documentation in accordance with ISO/TS standards.
- Lead investigations into non-conformance issues, collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Train and mentor junior QC personnel, ensuring adherence to quality protocols and best practices.
- Manage calibration programs for QC equipment and instrumentation.
- Prepare detailed quality reports for management, highlighting performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and other quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of ISO/TS quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- ASQ Certification (CQIA, CQE, CSSGB).
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems for quality data management.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Experience with measurement equipment such as CMM, calipers, micrometers.
