Job Description
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Student Fleet Aide with a focus on Car Rental & Logistics for our New Port Richey location. This entry-level position is perfect for students looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced automotive and customer service environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet’s readiness, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and available for our customers, and assisting with various logistical tasks. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, wash, and detail vehicle exteriors and interiors to Enterprise's high standards.
- Inspect vehicles for damage and report any issues to management.
- Fuel vehicles and monitor fluid levels, ensuring they are ready for rental.
- Shuttle vehicles between branch locations, service centers, and wash facilities.
- Perform routine vehicle checks, including tire pressure, lights, and wipers.
- Organize and maintain the parking lot, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks and paperwork related to fleet management.
- Support the rental team with customer service tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle checks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., bending, squatting, standing for extended periods).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Prior experience in a customer service or automotive setting.
