Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Lift Forklift Driver to join our dynamic team for industrial site work in Frisco, TX. This critical role involves operating heavy-duty forklifts to move, load, and unload large and heavy materials, equipment, and products within our industrial facilities and yards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial safety protocols, excellent operational skills with heavy machinery, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a dedicated individual committed to precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy lift forklifts (e.g., reach stackers, rough terrain forklifts, large capacity counterbalanced forklifts) to safely move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and railcars with heavy items, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
  • Transport materials to designated areas within the facility or yard, optimizing storage space.
  • Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management by accurately counting, weighing, and recording materials moved.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Follow all traffic and safety guidelines on industrial sites.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating heavy lift forklifts (5+ ton capacity).
  • Valid forklift operator certification for heavy lift equipment.
  • Proven understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret load charts, warning labels, and operating manuals.
  • Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with specific heavy lift forklift brands (e.g., Hyster, Kalmar, Taylor).
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience in a large-scale industrial, construction, or logistics environment.
