Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Spa Water Quality Tech with a maintenance focus to join our luxurious spa team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn, as full training will be provided. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal water quality and operational integrity of our spa facilities, including pools, hot tubs, and other water features. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily water testing on spa pools, hot tubs, and other water features.
- Monitor and adjust chemical levels (e.g., chlorine, pH, alkalinity) according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks for filtration systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Clean and maintain water feature surfaces, filters, and surrounding areas to ensure hygiene and appearance standards.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, leaks, or safety hazards immediately to the maintenance supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality readings, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and provincial guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management of chemicals and spa maintenance supplies.
- Collaborate with the spa and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance or technical role (any industry).
- Familiarity with basic plumbing or electrical systems.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Customer service orientation.
