Job Description
Are you an energetic and detail-oriented individual looking for an active role with immediate start? Join Meijer as a Click & Collect Order Shopper! In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling online grocery orders, ensuring our customers receive the freshest products and the best service without stepping foot in the store. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys being on their feet, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. You will navigate the store, select items, and prepare orders for pickup, directly contributing to our customers’ convenience and Meijer’s reputation for quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and scan items from shelves based on customer online orders, ensuring product freshness and quality.
- Communicate with customers via our app regarding unavailable items or substitutions, offering suitable alternatives.
- Organize and stage completed orders in designated pickup areas, maintaining proper temperature control for perishables.
- Assist with loading groceries into customers' vehicles during pickup, providing friendly and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate handheld devices and follow digital picking instructions efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all orders are picked and prepared on time.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and bend for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic technological proficiency for using handheld scanning devices.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in various temperature zones (e.g., refrigerated and frozen sections).
