Job Description
As a Source Credibility Evaluator – AI Content Integrity at Google, you will play a critical role in upholding the quality and trustworthiness of information within our AI-driven products. You will be responsible for evaluating the credibility of diverse information sources, assessing the integrity of AI-generated content, and providing actionable feedback to improve our AI models. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to ethical AI practices. You will work within a hybrid model, balancing on-site collaboration at our Hamilton office with remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth evaluations of various information sources for accuracy, bias, and overall credibility.
- Analyze AI-generated content to identify potential issues related to factual accuracy, harmful biases, or misleading information.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback and data annotations to engineering and AI development teams.
- Stay informed about current events, misinformation trends, and evolving standards of content integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine evaluation guidelines and improve AI system performance.
- Participate in regular calibration sessions to ensure consistent evaluation standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in research, content analysis, fact-checking, or similar roles.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to dissect complex information.
- Strong understanding of online information ecosystems and digital media literacy.
- Familiarity with common misinformation tactics and source evaluation methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Library Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale data annotation or content moderation projects.
- Basic understanding of machine learning principles and AI ethics.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
